The Pitzer College Responsible Endowment Fund is a place for parents, alumni, and philanthropists to show their support for Pitzer College in its pursuit of being a leader in sustainability. This fund provides a way to contribute to Pitzer and simultaneously demand that the endowment not be invested in fossil fuels. The contents of this fund will be held as a reminder to the administration that we expect our money to be invested in such a way that reflects Pitzer’s commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
Your donation will be made to the Pitzer College Responsible Endowment Fund, a donor advised fund held at the Triskeles Foundation, a public charity in Pennsylvania. Upon the recommendation of REC and Divest Pitzer, and upon approval by the Triskeles Foundation, the Fund would be granted to Pitzer College when it agrees to divest its endowment from fossil fuels. If Pitzer does not meet the agreed upon terms, the fund will be donated to The Center for Community Action and Environmental Justice and Communities for a Better Environment. Donations made to the Fund are NOT contributions to the Pitzer College Divestment Campaign. For more information, visit our website, or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
